The Marco Polo Cycling Team will line up against several stars from the Tour de France with their full 8 rider teams in the UCI 1.1 Sparkassen Giro Bochum, on the 8th of August. To be expected are Mark Cavendish with his Columbia – HTC Team and Team Milram with stars like Linus Gerdemann, another top-rider at the start will be green jersey winner Alessandro Petachi…

The team: Leon van Bon (Netherlands), Sven de Weerdt (Belgium), Jonathan Lovelock and Brad Hall (Australia), Daniel Abraham (Eritrea), Khalid Bounida (Netherlands), Loh Sea Keong (Malaysia) and stagiair Tim Gebauer (Germany).
Stagiar Pavel Stuchlik (Czech Republik) will race the derny-race at Saturday evening.
Start Sunday August 8 is at 14:00 for a 175 K race on the 15 K circuit going through the city centre of Bochum and over some of the mean steep climbs in other parts of the city.
