After training in Malaysia for a few weeks, the Trek – Marco Polo Cycling Team is totally on schedule for the first big target of the season. Everybody recovered well from Tour of Malaysia and pickep up training again. Sergey’s knee healed well, so he is ready to take on the sprinters of the big teams!

Trainer Edwin Achterberg was with the team for almost two weeks and was very impressed by the high level. The team rode up Genting Highlands (taken out of the race now) and also Fraser Hill (its replacement). Especially Jai Crawford was very disappointed with the replacement, as he finished 5th in last years queens stage that finished on Genting. Also a lot of speed work is being done, as the whole race is as good as flat.

The team will be lead by team director Michael Carter. He will have the guys race very aggressively, be in all the breaks and hope for successes in bunch sprints by the tandem Sergey Kudentsov and Fuyu Li.
Most of the team riders can do a good ride on Fraser Hill, so could have chances for a good GC if they manage to be in the right breaks during the whole race.

The Trek - Marco Polo Cycling Team for the Tour de Langkawi team:
Jai Crawford (Australia)
Sergey Kudentsov (Russia)
Fuyu Li (China)
Loh Sea Keong (Malaysia)
Ken Onodera (Japan)
Xing Yan Dong (China)
