The Marco Polo Cycling Team did not have much luck in the first three stages of Tour de Qinghai Lake. After already facing a lot of troubles in the preparations leading up to the race, Murphy’s law still applied to the guys in the race. Some of them were struck by food poisoning and were struggling seriously to finish in time, or even did have to give up. Luckily Jono, Khalid and Brad managed to hang together and help each other to finish in time in the first 3 stages and thus stay in the race. Haidar and Loh did have to abandon, but the riders that are still racing have good hopes that they will recover, adapt better to the altitude and grab the opportunities that will come up here or there in the remaining 6 stages of the race.
