Today was the opening ceremony of the Tour of Qinghai Lake, the most important cycling race in China ranked in the "Haute Category" of the UCI. The spectacular show in the Zhuzu stadium was broadcasted live at prime time at CCTV, Chinese national television.
The Marco Polo Cycling Team had their appearance at the end of the show with a ride on the podium and greeting of the spectators in the stadium and the several hundred million viewers at home.
Unfortunately it started raining during the show, but this gave it an even more spectacular view with the rain lighted by the light show.
