The Jayco Herald Sun Tour is a highly ranked stage race in Australia that attracts lots of Worldtour teams like Saxo Bank - Sungard, Team Garmin - Cervélo, Omega Pharma-Lotto and Katusha.

The best performances of Rhys Pollock for the Marco Polo Cycling Team are a victory in the GP Möbelstadt Rück Oberhausen in Germany, 2 second places in the Tour of Qinghai Lake in China and several strong break-away with the world's best riders in the Tour de Georgia, also rewarded with the most agressive rider jersey.
