Marco Polo Cycling Team rider Matthé Pronk became Dutch National Champion Stayers. This discipline at the track is a race with the cyclists being paced behind motor cycles.

This was the first time for Matthé to become champion behind the big motor cycles. Matthé is former European Champion on the track, several times Dutch Champion and winner of prestigious pro road races like the Druivekoers and Nokere Koerse. He also held the World hour record behind derny for several years with an average speed of 66,11 km/h.
Matthé who also has Grand Tour experience on the road (Giro d’Italia and the Vuelta Espana) is one of the mentors for the younger talented riders from Africa in the Marco Polo Cycling Team.
