The 17th July 7 riders of Trek Marco Polo Cycling Team will participate in the 2.HC-category of the Tour of Qinghai Lake. The tour consists of 9 stages and a prologue. All stages add up to a distance of about 1400 km divided over 11 days, that means one day break. In total 147 riders from 21 teams ( UCI pro-continental, UCI continental and national Olympic) will participate. The Tour of Qinghai Lake is known as the highest cycling race of the world, where riders will compete at an altitude of 4000 meter (about 13.100 feet). The race, which was introduced in 2002, will also lead the riders onto Tibetean ground.
