He won the sprint of a small group behind the winner David McCann and second place Artyom Zakharov from Kazachstan. On the windy and hilly 4K circuit it became a hard race with riders sprinting for the premes each lap. The Marco Polo Cycling riders were active and present in each break-away attempt. In the first half of the race a 3 rider break got away with Lars van de Vall. David McCann joined and the 4 riders took more then 1 minute on the peloton. When another 2 riders attacked it was Malaya van Ruitenbeek who joined them. Despite the work of the Hong Kong National Team the groups took even more time out of the peloton. In the final laps it was McCann who broke away solo to take the stage victory and Kazach rider Zakharov also got away for place 2nd. Malaya van Ruitenbeek and his companions made it to the front and won the sprint with 1 bike length on the remainings of the break-aways. The Marco Polo Cycling Club was the only team with 2 riders in the break. But unfortunately Lars van de Vall lost contact with the attacking group and fell back in the peloton. There was a crash in the peloton sprint but luckily all Marco Polo Cycling riders could stay out of it and sprint for the remaining prices.
